Eid Mubarak, and Geylang Serai Once Again!

Hey everyone!

On 15th June 2018, Muslims around the world commemorated the end of the Ramadan Festival, completing their 30-day fasting cycle for the year. At the same time, the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar was also in full swing, carrying on throughout the night and attracting loads of hungry visitors to the tantalizing food-stalls! Last year, we enjoyed the succulent and unique food treats on offer, and this year was no different! This year, there were some new carnival rides for the young and older folks to enjoy.

Re-exploring the Southern Ridges with the Instax Square SQ6!

Hey everyone!

One of our first hikes together as Damianwithsandra was along the Southern Ridges, a sprawling 10 kilometre stretch through the heart of Singapore, starting from Harbourfront and ending at Kent Ridge! In our first attempt, we covered the first few kilometres, and even documented our adventure in one of the earliest posts on our website!

Low Lights at iLight @ Marina Bay 2018!

Hey everyone!

We took some time out of our busy schedule to gander around the Central Business District to visit the yearly iLight (@ Marina Bay) Festival! A well-received light art festival occurring in March each year, it is no surprise that the CBD area was bustling with visitors once again! Keen to capture memories like last year’s edition, we were excited to use our cameras once again and test our steady hands to manage the low-lights setting!

We specifically decided to go in the night as we wanted to capture some long-exposure shots, so we brought out the trusty tripod and our Fujifilm X-T10 and the Polaroid SLR 680SE!

Featuring Damian’s Trip to Japan: Lessons from Carrying 35mm Film

Hi everyone,

So Damian recently travelled to Japan for a family trip, and took the opportunity to use take some (hopefully) memorable shots with a 35mm film camera! The camera of choice was the Pentax MX, coupled with a f/2 50mm manual focus lens! Wary about the supposed woes of carrying film through X-ray scanners, he had read up about some suggested tips, including carrying the film onto the plane (instead of checking them in), getting the film hand-checked (where possible) and bringing low ISO-speed film.

Top View at People’s Park Complex | Autumn Polaroid Week 2017

Hey everyone!

It’s Polaroid Week again; this time, it’s occurring during the Autumn season! Other than portraying our usual snapshots, we thought of showing our readers not only the photos taken (& shared) during Polaroid Week, but also the “behind-the-scenes” moments! This week we trotted around Chinatown in Singapore (as we have done so on many occasions before!)

Test Shots: Mamiya Universal Press with Various Mamiya-Sekor Lens (Instax Wide Format)

Hey everyone!

This week we decided to share some of our shots taken with our Mamiya Universal Press (“MUP”)! This amazing medium-format rangefinder camera (with interchangeable lens and film backs) have been mentioned numerous times in our previous entries visiting the iconic Rochor Centre, reviewing the original MUP when we first got it, and at the National Day Parade 2017 (Rehearsal)! This time, we decided to dedicate a post to our test shots, using a modified electronic Instax Wide back!
