We recently got our hands on a modified Instant Wide film back made for Mamiya Universal Press (MUP) lens! Using a Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 camera, the camera modifier had hacked out the lens and replaced it with a 3D-printed adapter for MUP lenses. We had a somewhat unpleasant experience with a previous camera modifier who was unable to replicate the same setup without encountering issues such as light leaks, and naturally, we were cautiously optimistic about this modified camera.

Back in July 2019, we had the opportunity to travel to Cyprus, a simply beautiful country situated on an island in the East Mediterranean Sea. Our friends there had recommended us to explore the whole of Cyprus (which comprises the Republic of Cyprus and Northern Cyprus), which we attempted in 8 days. This included a trip to Northern Cyprus, an area making up 36% of the north and eastern part of the island, which has been occupied by Turkey since 1974. We could not pass on this opportunity and so we rented a car and planned a short 2 day 1 night trip to Northern Cyprus.
Do note that this is PART I of a two-part series covering Northern Cyprus! If you have already read this post, do head on to PART II to read the rest of our travel itinerary!

Today, we are excited to share with you one of our latest projects: our very first self-published photobook!
Actually to be honest – we have been printing photobooks for a while, but those were always for our own collection. This time, we felt that it was time to launch our own photobook and in deciding on the theme and vision, we had no difficulty in choosing one: Singapore’s very own Dragon Playground.

Earlier in May 2019, an interesting online article appeared on the Internet, wherein the author recounted her life, living in a little-known public housing estate called Jalan Kukoh, in the center of Singapore. The article attracted quite a bit of online attention for its stark critique of poverty in plain sight, and naturally we were curious to find out more about this lesser known housing estate.
We were interested to see for ourselves how Jalan Kukoh was like, giving what was reported in that online article. We brought our trusty Polaroid SLR 680 SE and our Mamiya RB67 with a modified instax mini back to capture our experience.
