Disney’s Tsum Tsum Arrives at Gardens by the Bay!

Hey everyone,

So we (finally) managed to go to the Gardens By The Bay’s Cloud and Flower Domes to catch Disney’s Tsum Tsum Exhibition! Though the theme was about Christmas (which is sadly over by now), we nevertheless decided to go there and capture some fun photos with our Mamiya RB67 with Modified Instax Square back and the Fuji Fotorama FP-1 Professional Camera!

Bokehlicious Christmas Wonderland at Gardens By the Bay

Hey everyone!

2018 is coming to an end, and this time of the year can only mean one thing: Christmas and New Year celebrations! Indeed, we revisited a familiar scene and sight to capture the festive spirit and mood: Christmas Wonderland @ Gardens By the Bay!

The perennial attractions included the luminarie light sculptures, fun carnival games and rides, an ice-skating rink, an authentic ‘snowing’ experience and plenty of food options. With our brand new Fujifilm GFX 50R and Mamiya RB67 (with Instax Wide back), we explored Gardens by the Bay with a sense of purpose and cheerfulness.

Commemorating Singapore with the Jubilee Walk

Hey everyone!

If you are a tourist or a local who wish to explore the sights and sounds which make Singapore Singapore (and you also wish to engage in quite  a lot of walking!) then we would highly recommend the Jubilee Walk! The government-initiated trail consists of over 20 landmarks, spanning 8 kilometres in the heart of downtown Singapore. It took over 3 days for us to complete (owing to the fact that the weather has been pretty unpredictable recently), and having done so we decided to share our images captured at these iconic landmarks.

More Flowers and Dye-Nosaurs @ Gardens by the Bay

Hey everyone!

Continuing from our coverage of the Flower Dome @ Gardens by the Bay, we promised we would introduce other events taking place at the well-known Gardens! One such event catering for children was the “Dye-Nosaur Gardens”, which brought to ‘life’ different dinosaurs living in the prehistoric times! We also included our Instax photos taken at the location, so be prepared to be inundated with flowers and dinosaurs!

Awestruck by the Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) @ Gardens by the Bay!

Hey everyone!

We are soooooooooo excited to bring you this week’s entry, because for the first time, we got to see cherry blossoms in Singapore! Yes, these Japanese sakura were brought in from Japan, and immediately hyped up many Singaporeans to head to Gardens by the Bay, where the man-made garden held these beautiful flowers! We knew this was an opportunity to brush up on our macro/close-up photography, so we had our trusty Fujfilm X-T10 and the Mamiya Modified Instant Back for us to use!

Celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival in Singpore!

Hey everyone!

Last year, our very first entry on Damianwithsandra was documenting a trip down to Chinatown (with our friend Sarah) to take some photos of the lighting structures put up during the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the Mooncake Festival). This year, we decided to share a little bit more on what we do during this festive season!

The Future of Us Exhibition

Hello there! After last week’s rather detailed entry on our latest exciting purchase, the Sonar SX-70 (check it out here), we decided to share about our latest escapade to Gardens by the Bay!

This week, we were given the opportunity to take a glimpse into the future at the Future of Us exhibition. As part of the SG50 celebrations (marking the 50th year of Singapore’s independence), the exhibition contemplates Singapore in 2030 and how our infrastructure, livelihood and day-to-day experiences may develop by then! We were quite intrigued by the idea, so we decided to take a look.
