Flying High Along MacRitchie TreeTop Walk!

Hey everyone!

This week, we set off on yet another trail-seeking adventure, this time around MacRitchie! The trails around MacRitchie are very popular, and having gone on a public holiday, we were not surprised at the throngs of people ambling along the man-made paths. Nevertheless, we intended to visit the famous MacRitchie TreeTop Walk, which required us to walk over 7 km! Prepared (with our usual mosquito repellent and bottles of water), we headed for the unique walking trail!

Thrifts and Thrills @ Jalan Sultan

Hey everyone!

This week we decided to revisit another Singaporean location in the midst of the city: Haji Lane and Jalan Sultan! Located in between Bugis and Lavender MRT, the winding roads and narrow streets houses different Peranakan-style shophouses, now occupied by many cafes, restaurants and shops!

#PolaroidWeek 2017!

Hey everyone!

By the time you are reading this, Spring Polaroid Week 2017 would have (unfortunately) ended! It was going on from 16th April and ends on Friday, 21st April.

To commemorate this week, we decided to showcase some of our Polaroids we have taken with our Polaroid SX-70 Model 2, beautifully refurbished by Matt from 2nd Shot SX-70 Service. As usual, for those of you who have been following our Instagram you would have already seen some of these Polaroids!

Vintage Flea Market and LAKSA (!) @ Katong!

Hey everyone!

This week we are back with a trip to Katong, a neighbourhood known for its famous Perenakan-style food and culture! We visited this unique location because we were alerted to a vintage flea market in that area, and decided to check it out! We had with us our new SLR 670s (using Impossible Project’s 600 Colour film) and a nifty digital camera, the Carbon One Mini, which exterior replicates the Polaroid Onestep!

A Tribute to Rochor’s Hidden Secrets

Hey everyone!

This week’s entry is a tribute to a few places that sadly won’t be around after 2017: the Rochor Centre (which we visited last year and featured on our website), and the Sungei Road Thieves’ Market (a place we described in detail on our website too).  It has been many months since we explored the locations, and to imagine that these gems will be gone for good is a sad thought. Therefore, we decided to visit these locations one last time!

Seeing Double (Exposures) with the Impossible I-1 Analogue Instant Camera

Hey everyone!

We last featured the Impossible I-1 camera during our trip to Little India when Deepavali was being celebrated! Since then, we have come to appreciate a nifty function of the I-1 camera which many Polaroid cameras do not have: a double exposure function! Indeed, we were also keen to explore the potential of the I-1 camera further, and so we took it out one day to try out some of our favourite double exposures with the Impossible White Round Frame monochrome film (Gen 2.0) (we used a pack which was expired). We wish to highlight that the I-1 camera can be manually controlled using the I-1 mobile application (“App”), and that has to be used to take double exposure instant films.

Fun with Light Painting!

Hey everyone!

We admit that we have been very busy for the past few weeks, and we were sad that we could not update our website with new posts (although our Instagram is still active, don’t worry!) We’re glad to say that we’re back in full swing, ready to upload and share about our latest adventures!

Light painting is one of our keen interests, and we certainly have had fun composing long exposure shots with bright lights, and these lights can be produced with a variety of sources! In this entry, we are sharing about the different instruments for light photography, and how we captured some of our shots.
